Holly Hills has traditionally been a middle class neighborhood where folks work hard and take care of their own. Trees line the streets, framing homes with character. Developed in the Roaring 20s, the neighborhood was named for Hollywood, California. No stranger to spotlight, Holly Hills was dubbed, “The Best Place to Live in St. Louis” in 2013.

Although primarily a residential neighborhood, Holly Hills is near Interstate 55 for easy access in and out of the city.

City employees, judges, and politicians have historically been drawn to the neighborhood. The neighborhood is also full of gardeners who tend to the Holly Hills Community Garden, and bikers who take advantage of the neighborhood greenways and trails.

Despite its quiet demeanor, this neighborhood is never too far from the action of Downtown St. Louis. Residents can get rowdy at the Scottrade Center cheering on the St. Louis Blues, or let their hair down on Washington Avenue after a long day’s work. 

Holly Hills is part of the St. Louis City School District. The neighborhood offers a variety of schooling options like the Carondelet Leadership Academy as well as religious affiliated institutions.

Carondelet Park | The third largest park in St. Louis City, it features boating, fishing, and ice skating lakes attracting people from all ages year round.

Bellerive Park | At Bellerive and Broadway marks a Greenway Bicycle path that networks across the regions found throughout the neighborhood.
